2019-2020 Teacher of the Year

Ms Rachel Ashby

Haun is honoring Ms. Ashby this week for Teacher of the Year! PISD canceled the banquet at the start of COVID and so the school is celebrating her every day this week. This is a teacher well-deserving of all the accolades.

The Haun PTA has showered her with flowers and a basket of her favorite goodies. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication, Ms. Ashby!

Spread the Love Peanut Butter Drive

Once again, Haun is joining forces with PISD and the City of Plano in efforts to collect shelf-stable, nutritious food and to spread the love and compassion to Plano and our Collin County Neighbors. We’re making it easy to make no-touch donations throughout the Haun community:

September 21-28: School Collection Boxes for those on-campus

September 21-28: Neighborhood Collection boxes for any Haun student (Drop Off locations TBD)

September 24: Collection box at Handel’s Ice Cream during Haun Spirit Night

TBD:Drive-by Collection Parade in the carpool line- OR -

You may elect to donate online. Each dollar represents one pound of peanut butter. Make sure to include ‘HAUN’ in the comments.

In light of the pandemic, it is more important than ever that we help our community members who are continuing to struggle. So, let’s show our Haun Husky Spirit and Spread the Hope!!

Note: We are encouraging actual peanut butter donations as it lets the kids “see” the difference they can make for others.
