2019-2020 Officer and Board Nominations
We Want You!

The Haun PTA Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for the 2019-2020 Officers.  You may nominate yourself or another Haun PTA volunteer for any position below. The committee will nominate eligible individuals for each officer position and will present the slate for vote in April. Nominations will be accepted through March 29th.  In addition to officer positions, please indicate your interest in any board and/or chairman position (see link and form for list). These will be appointed by the president and/or executive board.  You can express interest in these positions through the end of the school year.

Box Tops Week
February 18th - 22nd

Buy, Clip, Send...it's time to send your box tops to school with your child.  It is always appreciated when you neatly clip excess from your box tops.  Send them in with you child in a snack bag with their grade and name.  These box tops turn into money for Haun.  Thank you for your participation in the Box Tops Program!


Little Medical School

Learn about the respiratory and circulatory system, how to use a stethoscope and other activities.
Duration: 6 weeks
Time: 2:50pm-3:50pm
Tuition: $150
Open to K thru 5
20% off student's tuition when a parent volunteers for entire semester.

International Night
Thursday, March 28th from 6:00-8:00pm

International Night (formerly Multicultural Night) will be a week long event starting on
Monday, March 25th.
 
We are looking for various participation in the following areas: 
 
1. Host a Country Booth
2. Gather some friends to perform something that represent your country.
3. Make and posters and promote the event the week of. 
4. Be a storyteller and shares stories from your country and possibly teach a bit of your language.

Haun Scholarship Program
Deadline: March 15, 2019

Selection Criteria:  Any graduating senior enrolled in Plano ISD who attended Haun Elementary School.  Student enrolling in an accredited undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university or vocational school for the 2019-2020 academic year (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester).  More information here.

Crayola ColorCycle Program
Marker Recycling

Have old markers at home? Don't throw them away, send them to Haun to be recycled!

Haun is participating in the Crayola ColorCycle Program this year. This is a program set up to turn used markers into energy. All year long, send used markers, even brands other than Crayola, to school to be placed in the Crayola ColorCycle box. Earth Club will send them in to be converted into clean fuel. The box is located outside of the art room. Click here for more information.
