This school year, Haun PTA and Haun Elementary are partnering to get the Haun Community reading together through the One Book One School Program, starting March 2nd, 2026 for the National Read Across America week. Students, families, faculty, and staff will read the same book together!

The premise of One School, One Book is to engage families and surround students with a culture of literacy. By having families, teachers, school faculty, and administration participate in reading together, the importance of literacy is exhibited and is linked to higher student achievement.

Purchasing the selected book through Haun PTA, allows teachers to receive a complimentary copy of the book and to integrate the content of the book into their lesson plans through resources and a variety of materials, all created by Read to Them.  

 

Books purchased will be delivered to your child's teacher in February.
